Adoption News!
Well, our home study has finally been approved. And so what does that mean? We get to do more paperwork! Actually it is wonderful news. We just have a few more pieces of paper to get notarized at various levels and then hopefully we go on to the waiting list. My goal had been to have it all done by the end of the year and I think if we move it, we will have it done. So, keep your fingers crossed that all of the "i"s will get dotted correctly for us!

Update on adoption
Just thought this was perfect for us.
We are waiting on our home study to be approved by our agency. We have already encountered the dreaded "issues" that cause delays in paperwork so we are a couple of weeks behind where we wanted to be.
A few details for you to know...we are asking for a child from 0-12 months at the time of referral. We are not requesting a boy or girl, either is great with us. We decided since we didn't have control with Declan, we wouldn't have control with this one either. Rich and his sister, Kerri, think it will be a girl. I think another boy. Only time will tell.

Fall fun
Yep, that is our ghost. He may look like he is not wearing a ghost costume but that is what it is. He is with his pirate friend, Mary.
Our pumpkins, Declan drew the face on the big one. We were pretty impressed.
Our development has a fall festival which ended up being the day after Halloween so just more sugar to keep the rush going. Sno Cones were the hit of the day as the temperatures were in the 70s.

Pumpkin Patch Trip
Our annual trip to the pumpkin patch with my parents. We love to go to a local dairy farm, Hodges Dairy Farm and pick pumpkins and see all the animals.
This year they had a corn maize. I am always amazed at what Declan is not afraid of. He charge right in and was the leader several times. He thought it was so fun to figure out how to get out.

One of the best parts of the trip is picking a pumpkin and pulling the red wagon. Declan decided he was strong enough to pull it this year even uphill.
