Lost tooth

Terefech lost yet another tooth this past week. It had been wiggly for a long time and she finally got it out. Here is the evidence....
We decided to do a combination of tooth traditions at our house. There are several Ethiopian traditions that we have heard and we chose to use the one that has you throw the tooth on the roof and the moon comes down in takes it. We then inserted that after the moon has it, the tooth fairy comes down and leaves you something under your pillow. Witness Rich throwing the tooth on the roof...
Terefech was absolutely thrilled to find money under her pillow the next morning. So, if your kids come home from our house talking about throwing their tooth on the roof....sorry.

Hello! I just found your blog through Ethiopian Adoption Blogs. Have you read the book Throw your tooth on the Roof? It's a great book that talks about tooth traditions around the world...

Glad to see someone else attempting this! Did your tooth bounce back off like ours did? :)

Well...we hoped it didn't land in the driveway. The next one we threw on the garage roof knowing that if it decided to land elsewhere, it wouldn't be in our yard-Rich threw it over the garage!!
