At the kids' school, there is a rock. And we had an appointment to paint the rock. After much discussion, we decided that we were going to paint the rock for MLK day. Kaia, a classmate of Terefech's, joined in for the raucous fun that is painting a rock. And here it is....
The kids were really proud that it looked like they had painted it, not just the adults!
We were kind of proud of ourselves for accidentally tying in our rock theme with the theme of the first grade performance that was at the end of the week...Heroes. Were a little disappointed that we got limited rock exposure due to a water main break at the school that caused school to be cancelled for 2 days.
Kaia's dad painted a little animal signature for each of the kids. In case you are wondering...a penguin, snake and monkey.
