Botanical gardens

It was a rainy afternoon so we went out to see the botanical gardens.  It smelled so good inside.  Someone needs to make a candle that make my house smell that good.  They have several different areas inside glass houses that were magnificent.

Declan's favorite moth, the Owl Moth.

Terefech loves papaya and used to eat them in Ethiopia.

There weren't tons of butterflies but the ones that were there were spectacular.  We had a favorite black and bright blue one.  It never came close enough to get a good picture but was beautiful to watch in flight.

There were displays of classwork of students inside the building.  We loved the calla lily and the veggie centerpiece.

We also hit the gardens outside once it had stopped raining.  There was a wonderful children's garden for the kids to play in.  Terefech loved this little house.

On the path to the Japanese garden there were some beautiful sculptures.

There was exquisite iron work throughout the gardens...
